Ganewati Wuryandari is a senior researcher and Head of Research Center for Regional Resources, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (P2SDR-LIPI) since 2016. She achieved Dra degree from the Faculty of Social and Political Studies, Gadjah Mada University at Jogyakarta in 1987, M.A degree on International Relations at the Department of Politics, Monash University, Melboune, in 1994, and Ph.D degree at the Discipline of Asian Studies, the University of Western Australia, Perth, in 2006. She is also active as a committee central board of Indonesian Political Science Association (AIPI), editorial boards of Jurnal Politica, Journal of Global Strategies, Jurnal Penelitian Politik and Jurnal Kajian. Her academic interests are in the fields of Asia-Pacific, Australia-Indonesia, Timor Leste, border, and Indonesian foreign policy. Some of her latest academic works are "Indonesian Foreign Policy and Environmental Issues" (Jurnal Penelitian Politik, 2011) "East Timor's Membership in ASEAN: Prospects and Challenges "(2011, ASEAN Outlook, Taiwan)," Indonesia-East Timor's Border Disputes: The Untackle Questions (2013, Proceedings of International Seminar), "Management of State Sovereignty: From Defense Perspective (2013, chapter of books entitled Border and State Sovereignty), "Prospects of Indonesia-China Relations (2013, chapter of books entitled The Dynamic of Political, Security-Defence and Economic in the Indonesian and China Relations), “Crossing Border: Indonesian Traditional Fishermen in Australian Waters” (Jurnal Penelitian Politik 11/1, June 2014), and “Indonesian Diplomacy in the Digital World” (Suvannabhumi 9/2, Dec 2017). She is the co-author and the book editor of Security in the Border of Indonesia-Timor Leste (Pustaka Pelajar, 2009), Indonesia's foreign policy in the Midst of International Changes (2011, Pustaka Pelajar), Indonesian Foreign Policy and the International Issue of Terrorism (Graha Ilmu, 2014), Indonesian Foreign Policy and Environment (Andhi, 2015), East Nusa Tenggara Regional Development From Social Perspective: Problems and Policy (2015, LIPI Press), East Nusa Tenggara Regional Development From Social Perspective: Analysis of Policy Implementation (Graha Ilmu, 2015), and the upcoming book on Indonesian Foreign Policy as a Middle Power to China (Graha Ilmu) and Reformulation of Indonesian Border Management (Pustaka Pelajar). She is also contributor of Grand Design of Indonesian Foreign Policy (LIPI and Vice President Office, 2015), Foreign Policy and Energy Security Issues in Indonesia (Springer, 2017), Parliament and President Election in Philippine, South Korea, Venezuela and United States of America (Mahara, 2018), Democracy and General Election in Some Countries (Mahara, 2018) and the the author of A Case of Forgive and Forget? Human Rights in Australian Foreign Policy in East Timor and Papua (Graha Ilmu, 2014). Currently, she was also an expert staff at the RegionaRepresentative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia from 2013-2015.
